Photo Art Magnets Redux

Architecture - Photo Art Magnets Redux

As last week’s batch of magnets sold so quickly, I ordered a lot more this time. I’ve got a couple of sets for sale too, such as these crisp b&w shots of metal structures in south-central Indiana.

Easy instant gratification artwork! Get yours at exoskeletoncabaret.etsy.com! And I’ll keep listing more magnets as the week goes by, so if you don’t see the image on which you’ve got your heart set, let me know.
Thank you.

New Photo Magnets

I’ve got a NEW item on Etsy: art magnets. I realize not everyone has an interest in fine art prints or wants to deal with matting and framing photos, so I’ve compromised with these slick 2×3.5″ photo magnets. It’s the poor man’s fine art! Slap ‘em on your fridge or locker, and bingo–instant awesome. I’m half tempted to keep them all for myself. :)

I’ve got magnets of The Details (Molly as seen above), Ragged Claws (Petra’s T.S. Eliot tattoo), and Blue Stockings (the glorious gams of Finn von Claret) here. Get ‘em whilst they’re hot and sexy (which is now, and always).

Thanks.

Frozen Music

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

My friend, Mercedes Brugh, has a new Etsy store:

Mercedes, of Frozen Music, handmakes some of the most detailed fused glass jewelry I’ve ever seen. Her pieces incorporate whimsical CAD drawings etched into a dichroic coating on sheet glass. I own one of the Dia de los Muertos pendants pictured, as well as a glamorously rendered green glass circuitboard. Check out her Etsy store for additional pieces in brilliant colors.

In Etsy-related news, I’ve started listing items again, such as these propeller-shaped white clock hand earrings with sterling silver findings and delicate freshwater pearls. More recycled, upcycled, and funky fresh jewelry to come!

Thank you.

Etsy Update/Super Secret Art Show

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Despite radio silence, I’ve been keeping as busy as possible. Possibly too busy, if you ask me.

day of the dead earrings

I’ve spent several nights up late, aggravating my repetitive motion injury with Illustrator and Photoshop abuse, planted a ridiculous amount of veggies and herbs in my kitchen (!), baked 48 day-glo cupcakes, and I’ve updated my Etsy store with new jewelry. Go shopping!

On top of the aforementioned, plus job applications, plus an H+ meeting, plus organizing photo shoots, plus finishing a rush hairpiece job…I’ve been digging my sticky little fingers into the Seattle gallery scene. I’ll make the official announcement in a couple of days, but it seems that I’m co-curating and participating in a group gallery show with twelve other artists, all of whom I greatly admire and occasionally obsess about late at night. There’s a possibility I’ll be holding a solo show at another Seattle gallery early next year, as well. Details when they exist.

I’m tired! I think I need a vacation from being unemployed!

Prints from Vintage Punx Shoot on Etsy

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008
As promised, I’ve listed a few prints from my shoot with the local vintage punks in my Etsy store. Don’t see a photo you want, or desire a different size? Let me know and I’ll be glad to list one just for you. The entire set is here, once again.
I will have new jewelry available by the end of the week, too! Stay tuned.

Insect Inspection

Friday, June 13th, 2008

Here we are, live from Seattle! I made the 3,000 mile trip from Indiana in one piece despite the treacherous weather that swept across the United States last week. It’s taken me the better part of eight days to unpack my boxes and settle into my new apartment, and I’ve been busy looking for full-time work and starting new projects simultaneously. Up next in the queue will be an indoor vermicomposter, experiments in bread-making (i.e. science), and likely some long-forgotten sewing work. Stay tuned. There will be pictures.

elytra

I’ve also reposted some prints and listed another five pairs of beetle elytra and anodized titanium earrings on Etsy. Check out the listings for more details. I love working with shiny jingly bug bits–they appeal to my inner morbid magpie in a way no other material can.

Thanks!
