Tonight, Anita will be showing her deliciously creepy alchemy shadowboxes in our studio (619 Western Avenue, 4th Floor South). Hope you can come out and take a look–her work is not to be missed.

I will be showing a variety of photographs, including some new ones from the last month of Katie Blue and bellydancer Zoe Jakes.

I Do Too Many Art Shows

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

Some people burn the candle at both ends–I microwave it.

I believe I’ve shot about 10,000 images since May, and have been bustin’ out art shows like it’s goin’ out of style. I currently have photography up in four different places in Seattle. They are as follows:

Starfish Studios – 619 Western Avenue, 4th Floor South (new work from the last three weeks) – This show is TONIGHT ONLY. Come see my fellow photogs and I tonight from 6-10 pm.

Zero Zero – 1525 Summit Avenue, in Capitol Hill (with Angel Ceballos and Daniel McManus)

Kaladi Bros.511 E Pike Street, in Capitol Hill (solo show; Food Pornography Redux)

The LASTWEAR Store – 5459 Leary Avenue N.W in Ballard (older work, mostly studio and steampunk-themed)

All of the work at these locations is priced reasonably to move. I really do not need four shows’ worth of framed prints in my house! Go buy stuff, please! <3

Thank you.

FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF STARFISH STUDIOS
Pioneer Square Art Walk
Thursday, April 2, 2009 6-10 pm
619 Western Avenue, 4th Floor South
Seattle, Washington

This month, the photography studio of which I am a part will present a multimedia collection of work by thirteen of our Seattle-based artist friends (as well as ourselves). This is your chance to view a huge variety of artwork in one studio! We hung a majority of the work yesterday afternoon (also consumed a number of adult beverages and several types of cheese) and the show is looking stellar, if I do say so myself. We’ve got an array of paintings, photos, some breathtaking 3-D objects, and more!

This show is ONE NIGHT ONLY. Hope to see you on Thursday!

Banana Cupcakes for Art Walk

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

Look! Delicious, magical banana cupcakes with cream cheese frosting I made this evening to share tomorrow night (Thursday) at the Pioneer Square art walk in Seattle! You can have one if you come by 619 Western Avenue, fourth floor, Starfish Studios, between 6-10 pm. You can also see my photography there, but really, you should come for the cupcakes. [flier]

These suckers are so good, I swear they make you smarter when you eat them. Seriously.

The original recipe came from Bread&Honey. I followed it exactly, adding banana chips to the center of the frosting only. It’s just one of those perfect recipes.

See you at art walk tomorrow!

Seattle Art Walk 2.5.09

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

This Thursday will be my first Pioneer Square art walk! I joined Starfish Studios recently, and the five of us photog-types will be presenting some of our work to the public. The Pioneer Square art walk is the largest in the city of Seattle, and I look forward to a big crowd.

The event is free, and I will provide hot tea and edible treats. Please come out and support us! [flier by Angel Ceballos]

And…whilst you’re in the area, please check out my dear friend Danny’s solo gig at Utilkilts’ flagship store–it’s just one street over:

I stopped by his installation yesterday, and his decadent arrangement of brilliantly jewel-toned images is to die for. [flier by Danny]

Hope to see you out Thursday! Drop by either show and say hello.
